What is Raivu?

For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works,  which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

Raivu, (pronounced 'ray-voo') is a Japanese word meaning "to live". Therefore, for us, Raivu for Kids means "to live for kids". We have dedicated our lives to serving.

Mission: Teaching youth to live with a purpose.

Vision:  Equip today’s youth with Biblical wisdom and life skills, and instill in them a desire to live their lives to honor God.

Through Our Doors, "The Raivu 1440 Story"

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

August 31, 2016

Dear Raivu family,

We have been blessed to teach God's Word to your children since 2011. Raivu is now entering a new season and we would like to take this opportunity to let you know of the changes within our ministry.

When we moved to the Slinger area in 2010, we took a step of faith and God has blessed us with a wonderful group of friends and volunteers to assist with running the programs. Last fall when we moved into the building in downtown Slinger we believe that was the journey we were to take. This spring we purchased a passenger van, we held camp, and the kids continued to walk through our doors. The entire time God has remained faithful.

But as summer came upon us it became evident that a new season was coming. For the first time since we began the outreach programming, we experienced a significant drop in donations. This caused an immediate impact on the ministry as we have always operated in faith for God's provision each month. With everything in us we have tried to raise the full funding needed to operate the ministry, but God has made it clear to us that He has other plans for Raivu. With that said, Raivu for Kids has decided to join Crossway Church in Germantown for weekly programming. We have had numerous conversations with Crossway's leadership and they have welcomed us with open arms. Tuesday programming will continue for elementary youth in 1st-5th grade. Our middle and high school programming will move to Wednesday night. We will be transporting youth from our home in Slinger to Crossway Church each week. Please see enclosed schedule for programming.

What about Raivu? As an entity, Raivu for kids will continue. At this time all donations will go into the general fund scholarships for camp activities, the van and other field trip opportunities. Life Coaching will continue as is, and the Board of Directors will revisit Raivu Expeditions in early 2017. The heartbeat of Raivu from the beginning and remains to "take up the cause of the fatherless" (Isaiah 1:17).

Please continue to pray for us and all the youth of Washington County. We’d love for you to watch a video on our website highlighting the work done in with Raivu 1440 at Raivu.org.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to email us at
info@raivu.org or call or text 920-619-0571.

 Serving Jesus forever,

Corey, Jodi, and The Raivu Family

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
