Everyone Has A Story...

Educating and supporting foster and adoptive families including those who wrap around them, through our training and experiences.

Trauma-Informed Care With A Biblical Perspective

Raivu, (pronounced 'ray-voo') is a Japanese word meaning "to live".

We feel passionately and are committed to meeting the needs of individuals, families and youth through:

Public speaking - to foster awareness of the needs of a foster/adoptive child.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Caregiver Training - TBRI® is a trauma-informed evidence-based holistic approach that brings healing through meeting the needs of the whole child. This training can be presented in only the evidence-based approach or with the "Created to Connect" Bible study guide.

Making Sense of Your Worth/Anchored - MSOYW/A is designed to guide individuals on finding your self-worth and identity in Christ.

Ongoing support through TBRI®, Biblical, and parent life coaching families and individuals.

Taking the journey to parent, especially through foster care and adoption will undoubtedly challenge you in places that you didn't even know existed. Understanding who you are and where you and your children's behaviors come from will, in turn, provide an atmosphere of safety and trust for your children to grow, connect and to live life with a purpose.

It's all begins with understanding who you are for life to begin making sense. Life is hard, the things we as humans endure are hard. Though there are many moments of laughter and joy it is inevitable that sadness and pain will come. Your purpose never changes through the experiences that you have. The experiences are just that, experiences, sometimes by our own choice sometimes by the will of another. Being a follower of Jesus Christ does not change that. Scripture makes it very clear that we will endure trials and hardships, yet we are to take heart because He has overcome the world.

We feel passionate to speak, train and coach on trauma-informed care with a Biblical perspective; how to see, live life, and LOVE through the eyes of Jesus.

Two Lives One Purpose......

For we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

Corey and Jodi

We are excited about the new season of life and where God is leading us with Raivu For Kids. It is in our life experiences and training we feel God has made it clear that we need to speak, train, and coach how to do life, but with new eyes.

"God, our God, will take care of the hidden things but the revealed things are our business. It's up to us and our children to attend to all the terms of this revelation." Deuteronomy 29:29

It all starts with being obedient, having a willing heart, and learning that everything starts with our identity as children of God. Once you know who you are it is in that place, we believe God has asked us to give a voice to the voiceless.

Understanding who you truly are as a Christ-follower and how to navigate life and LOVE through His eyes changes everything.

Mission: Finding your identity, living your purpose

Vision: Equip individuals with Biblical wisdom and life skills,

and instill in them a desire to live their lives to honor God.

"Implementation has worked for us. It was important for us even just to spend that time with community who understood where we were. As are kids are moving into the next developmental phase, as it always does, some behaviors seem to get smaller, and others seem to get bigger. It is frustrating, but it is definitely less a place of chaos than when we started in this parenting journey. We appreciated the language you provided us. We have adopted some of those phrases into our day to day life. The TBRI® training has equipped us to leave the space our children need to explore their emotions and also cemented for me personally that there is space for my emotions." - Samantha

“Your role playing the various TBRI® techniques for us during the training was very helpful. You have a good grasp on these parenting techniques and I can see you would be a wonderful parent coach. I can clearly see how these parenting techniques are beneficial for all kids, but especially those who come from hard places.” -Social Worker

I am blessed by to have Jodi walk with me on my life journey as a mentor. She speaks truth into my life in love, causing me to grow stronger in my relationship with others and God. I am becoming healthier by decisions I am learning to make. I am so very grateful for her ability to listen and understand how much real-life situations impact people as individuals. Her willingness to take the time to help me focus on maturing socially, emotionally and spiritually transform my life for the positive. -Kay

When I first met Jodi, I was so excited to start our adventure together. I had a feeling I was going to learn a lot from her, and I did. Jodi became a role-model in my life, and I did not have many at the time. I always look forward to meeting with her on our days, because we did really fun things, and I felt like I could tell Jodi anything. We played board games, went to the library, went strawberry picking, grabbed a coffee, and even went to a farm to see animals. The time I spent with Jodi was awesome, and she taught me and my sister so many life lessons, that we will always keep with us. -Kirsten

Having the support, the push and the drive for children to have a purpose in today's society, Raivu really gives these children that option. To have a leader that understands and has real-life situations to relate shows these kids that there is more to life than what you would expect. -Ken
